GSRC

Gender & Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) 

The GSRC fosters an environment that is open, safe, and inclusive for people of all sexualities and gender identities. The GSRC seeks to help in the efforts to address homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and heterosexist attitudes and beliefs on the campus, and to work to make the environment safe and affirming for all students, faculty, staff, and LGBTQIA+, queer, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people.

Chez Veterans Center 

The Chez Veterans Center provides mental health support for military-connected students (veterans, guard/reserves, and dependents) through individual, marital, family, and group counseling. The Center’s counseling services have adapted provisions from the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act as they represent ethical standards in regards to privacy and confidentiality with protected health information.

Veterans Care Programs is a program designed to provide comprehensive, affordable healthcare to Illinois’ uninsured veterans who cannot currently access Veterans Health Administration’s benefits and who meet specific income requirements.

Disability Resources & Educational Services (DRES) 

DRES ensures that qualified individuals with disabilities are afforded an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from the programs, services, and activities at Illinois through the identification and enactment of reasonable modifications to institutional policies and procedures, the provision of effective auxiliary aids and services, the establishment of innovative educational services, and the pursuit of interdisciplinary disability research.

Campus Belonging, through its educational and reporting processes, encourages understanding of others’ perspectives, identities, and lived experiences. Our processes are designed with the goal of ensuring that the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is an equitable and inclusive community for all.
